Every detail of the Rolls-Royce Chess Set exudes elegance. The embedded chess pieces are ceremoniously unveiled, evoking the sense of occasion synonymous with the arrival of a Rolls-Royce motor car. Generous spacing around the chess board enhances the game’s theatrical allure, while the use of the finest materials, hand-fitted veneer, and polished details echo the superior craftsmanship found in Rolls-Royce interiors.

The playing board is available in a choice of four veneer combinations, each arranged to create a diamond pattern when viewed from above. Around the playing surface, a longitudinal grain is used, while within the playing field, the veneer is angled at 45 degrees to create a subtle contrast. High-gloss finishes include Blackwood with Ceramic White, and Macassar Ebony with Royal Walnut; Open Pore veneer treatments in Smoked Eucalyptus with Paldao and Obsidian Ayous with Blackwood are also available. The exterior and piece holder can also be personalised using one of thirteen Rolls-Royce leather colours.

An elegant Chess-Set that pays tribute to the history and intricacy of the game through thirty four Rolls-Royce inspired chessmen.

The pieces are made with a high quality leather finish, holding a concealed magnet in each to ensure a perfect alignment to the board.

Personalisation is available in four different veneer combinations and a selection amongst thirteen leather colours. The Chess Set is also offered in a Hero specification.

Do you offer factory tours of Goodwood?

Unfortunately, we no longer offer a public tour programme. Should this change in the future, we will update our website.

Do you offer work experience placements?

Regrettably, due to the volume of requests we receive for work experience placements from the children of our employees, we are unable to offer a placement at this time.

All motorcars built before 2003 (both Rolls-Royce and Bentley) and their related history are dealt with by the Bentley organisation. The Bentley Heritage website could be a useful source of information for you.

We receive many requests for sponsorship, funding and donations, and whilst we are a keen supporter of local charities sadly we cannot support every worthy cause which is brought to our attention. Rolls-Royce Motor Cars selects a house charity each year to be our primary charitable focus, for 2019 the charity we have chosen is Home-Start Arun.

Home-Start Arun promotes the welfare of families in the Arun, Worthing and Adur District Council areas, to alleviate stress and conflict at home and prevent family crisis and breakdown.
