The Rolls-Royce Pinstripe Tyre provides Phantom owners with a luxurious accessory that cuts a contemporary, sartorial dash.
THE ULTIMATE ACCESSORY
Standing at half Phantom’s height, its wheels are integral to the Rolls-Royce aesthetic – ensuring the commanding and unmistakable presence of the ‘Best Car in the World’.
A commanding presence is not simply about being the biggest or boldest. It’s about elegance: small yet eye-catching details and the ultimate accessory. Think complementing a fine suit with the perfect pair of cufflinks or tie clip. In the world of accessories, simplicity equals sophistication.
Phantom owners have the opportunity to add such sophistication with the Rolls-Royce Pinstripe Tyre. This modern interpretation of the classic whitewall, introduced more than 100 years ago, has long been synonymous with high-end luxury.
The tyre combines the original whitewall – long associated with horse-drawn carriages and fine motor cars – with an updated and refined twist. “The addition of a Pinstripe Tyre to Phantom delivers an elegant, sartorial touch to the car,” says Giles Taylor, Director of Design at Rolls-Royce Motor Cars. “It evokes the golden age of touring, and channels some of the finest examples of Rolls-Royce design over the ages in a contemporary manner.”
To celebrate the launch of the Pinstripe Tyre, Rolls-Royce commissioned acclaimed London milliner Rachel Trevor-Morgan to create a unique interpretation through a one-off hat design.
Trevor-Morgan has designed hats for the royal family and is renowned for her exceptional attention to detail. With meticulous attention to their craft, her team embodies the same Bespoke philosophy as Rolls-Royce: that perfection takes time to achieve. Her milliners take as long to create a hat as the Rolls-Royce team does to craft an interior wood veneer for Phantom.
Choosing the right hat can complete any outfit – if you truly wish to dress your Phantom, the Pinstripe Tyre is the starting point. Create elegance from the road upwards.
