The 2:1 ratio of wheel to body height is inscribed into our DNA, defining the figure of Rolls-Royce motor cars since the first Silver Ghost. These elegantly balanced proportions create our signature profile, endowing a sense of scale and beauty on every model.
A triptych of lines delicately defines the character of every Rolls-Royce. The waft line: the classic character side line that emphasises the motor car’s dynamism. The waistline, imparting a sense of purpose. And the silhouette: striking, powerful and iconic. These three lines harmonise to map a form that is always unquestionably Rolls-Royce.
The Rolls-Royce grille is a design icon in itself. It comprises three elements: the the Rolls-Royce badge, always lettered in black; the commanding Pantheon grille, named after its resemblance to an ancient Roman portico; and the silver Spirit of Ecstasy leading the way. Linking past to present, it is an unchanging symbol of status and presence that unmistakably marks our arrival.
