Rolls-Royce confirms record sales in company's 107-year history

Rolls-Royce Motor Cars today revealed record sales results for 2011. 3,538 cars were sold globally during the year, a 31 per cent increase on the 2010 total of 2,711 cars. The figure represents the best sales result in the company’s 107-year history; the previous record of 3,347 cars having been set in 1978 during the Silver Shadow II era.

Business Minister welcomes Rolls-Royce investment

Mark Prisk, Business Minister, visited the Home of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars in Goodwood, West Sussex today to learn how the company will expand in 2012. Rolls-Royce is investing in a significant expansion of its Assembly Hall and Surface Finish Centre. The Minister toured the manufacturing plant to meet the craftsmen and women responsible for building the company’s super luxury cars. The Minister unveiled a commemorative banner to signify the start of construction.

Rolls-Royce Motor Cars has announced that it will enter the South American market for the first time in the company’s history. Rolls-Royce is working with future dealers in Brazil and Chile and the company’s CEO, Torsten Müller-Ötvös, is currently visiting the region to meet these future dealers as well as customers, prospects and members of the media.

Rolls-Royce Announces Record Half-Year Sales

Rolls-Royce Motor Cars announced today that the company has enjoyed a record half-year in 2011, with sales increasing by 64 per cent worldwide compared with the same period in 2010. 1592 motor cars were delivered to customers in the first six months, the best start to a year since the company was launched in 2003.

Heat tests prepare Rolls-Royce 102EX (Phantom Experimental Electric) for world tour

Rolls-Royce Motor Cars took its Phantom Experimental Electric prototype to the MIRA1 research facility in Warwickshire this week for a series of laboratory-controlled temperature tests. Engineers were keen to learn how extreme conditions such as high temperatures and humidity levels affect battery performance while in use. This information is critical as 102EX will shortly embark on a global tour that will take in markets such as the Middle East, Asia-Pacific and North America.
