Ian Cameron was the Chief Designer of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars from 1999 until 2012. For over ten years he oversaw all aspects of design on all Phantom and Ghost models.

A graduate of the Royal College of Art (Automotive Design), he also studied Industrial Design in London and Behavioural Science at Aston University. His first appointment was as a designer for Ogle Design in Letchworth, from where he moved swiftly on to Pininfarina in Turin. In 1981 he became Chief Designer of Iveco-Fiat working both in Turin and Ulm in Germany.

He started work for the BMW Group in 1992 as Exterior Design Studio Manager at BMW in Munich, where he was Project Leader for the 3 Series, Z8 and Range-Rover.

Ian has now retired from his design role but remains within the BMW Group, dedicating his time to Rolls-Royce global heritage as Brand Ambassador.
