
Helmut Riedl
Director of Engineering, Rolls-Royce Motor CarsHelmut Riedl joined BMW as an automotive engineering graduate in
1980 working in the advanced development area for chassis. He has
since worked extensively with chassis technology in a number of
positions, which led to his appointment as Director, Chassis for
the BMW Group where he was responsible for the chassis development
for BMW, MINI and of the Rolls-Royce Phantom. He became Director of
Engineering at Rolls-Royce Motor Cars in February 2004 and, with
his team, has been responsible for the technological development of
Phantom Extended Wheelbase, Phantom Drophead Coupé, Phantom Coupé,
Ghost, Ghost Extended Wheelbase and a host of the most impressive
bespoke cars produced at Goodwood.
