Phantom Extended Wheelbase has a remarkable presence. It delivers the ultimate Rolls-Royce experience, in terms of both luxury and presence. The additional 250 mm of legroom in the rear passenger compartment not only offers an interior space of lounge-like proportions it also increases the possibilities for Bespoke customisation. It's an indulgent private space. One that is perfect to work, entertain or relax in between engagements.

      Phantom Extended Wheelbase's aluminium spaceframe is based on the same lightweight technology as our signature Phantom, hand-welded from over 500 separate parts, with over 100 metres of weld. Incredibly light but strong, it is both stiff and dynamic. Combined with the state-of-the art suspension technologies and the smooth power delivery of the new rear differential it creates the air-cushioned 'magic carpet ride' that is unique to Rolls-Royce.

      Just as Phantom Extended Wheelbase's presence is quietly authoritative, the delivery of power from the direct-injection V12 engine is equally impressive. At 70mph over 90% of the power is available in reserve, making for effortless acceleration.

      The new 8-speed gearbox offers a greater choice of gears, reduced CO² emissions with better fuel consumption. The two additional gears accentuate the feeling of smooth, endless acceleration from standing or at speed.

      All Rolls-Royce cars feature a Power in Reserve dial on the facia. It's a reminder that there is always power to spare in our V12 engines - at 70mph they use less than 10 percent of available power. Delivering 75% of torque at just 1,000rpm, working in perfect balance with the automatic gearbox, the acceleration is so smooth it feels like you are in an infinite first gear.

      Phantom Extended Wheelbase features a new infotainment system to make every journey more enjoyable. A larger front monitor gives you a clear view whether you're using the new hard drive-based Navigation system on the road or watching a DVD while stationary. The redesigned MMI puts everything at your fingertips for effortless operation.

      To keep passengers entertained theatre configuration allows them to watch TV or a DVD on two high quality 12 inch screens that fold flat into the backs of the front seats (optional), linked to an independent DVD player that allows them to choose their own content. The backs of the screens can be veneered to match the interior.

      Headphone sockets let the rear passengers listen to one source while driver and front seat passenger listen to another.

      New camera systems offer all-round views of Phantom. The front/side cameras offer clear views of the road in either direction when you are exiting a junction. The rear and top views make parking and reversing simple - the rear camera has a path prediction setting to guide you. The top view shows a 360 degree view of the car from above so you are aware of any potential obstacles in all directions.
